My Doctor Who 50th Anniversary tribute.
I am a huge huge fan of the show, and I really like Matt Smith's portrayal. He displays equal excitement and wonder at the things he gets to encounter and see and do, and revels in his companions' experience of it all. He's a lot of fun.
His second season had such an undercurrent of sadness as he accepts that he needs to travel alone to protect Amy and Rory for fear of what he knows their future holds in store for them. The modern series plays a lot with this theme; he is the last of his kind.
I will have prints of this piece at SDCC next week! Can't wait for the show!
